Twas the night before December....

When all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The children were nestled all snug in their bed, while mummy excitedly awaited her three advent calendars for morning. Yep, you heard me, three. I love the feeling of the last night before December, making sure the advent calendars are set out ready for morning and the anticipation of what will be inside. The eagerness of waiting to put up our tree in December,  and just simply the thought of the most exciting month of the year for me.

Everything that has happened this year, thought not much in reality, has been a first for my little boy, he will be 10 months at Christmas and I am beyond excited for him to see all the lights, the baubles and everything Christmas, as I know he will be awe-struck. I was hoping we could take him to a garden centre or two and have some normality, and I am so grateful to have managed it in November even if I am hoping to squeeze one more in this month in place of him seeing Santa.

Tonight I set out my advent calendars, my Glossybox advent taking pride of place in my bedroom, ready to be opened each morning and enjoyed while I get ready, my Yankee candle one in the living room, ready to invite me in as I wake for the day and retreat downstairs with the invitation of a new candle to light, and lastly my Beanies advent, taking pride of place in the kitchen ready to give me the coffee fix I need to wake me up and get me going for the day. If we want to count to four, my little boy has a Disney story book advent calendar that lives in his room ready for us to pick a new story every day to read to him before we settle down for bed.

Tonight I will be having a nice hot bath, indulging in a hot chocolate and getting ready to open up the advents and start vlogmas tomorrow! I have the pj's of Christmas past, as I always have new one for Christmas day, and I will be starting the month as I mean to go on. I'm talking positive mindset, plenty of hot chocolate and lots of festive themed treats and entertainment. I've got some festive book reviews and a roundup of some festive films to share with you and lots of exciting daily blogmas posts to keep you going all month, its jam packed with this and my YouTube content, so make sure you are following me across the board as I have lots to share with you. I also have a festive bingo for a quarantine Christmas of fun things to do, some self care ideas and all things Christmas, but at home and festive to keep us all safe, and still give us some fun, but also easy things we might want to do in the lead up to Christmas. You can find this on my Instagram stories, in my highlights, and you can play along with the hashtag if you want to join in too! What do you do to prep for December, and what are you most looking forward to for the last, and most festive month of year?
