Fall tag

I always think tag posts are quite fun and share a little bit more about someone and who the person is behind the blog. When I saw this tag on Meggan's, Cardigan Jezebel, blog I thought it would be fun to have a go at as well. So today, we are answering ten fall questions to share an insight into myself and autumn.

1. What is one candle you MUST light every fall?
I always try to mix up the scents I have for fall, so I don;t often repurchase the same scents year after year. This being said, I do tend to go for sweet, spiced scents, such as cinnamon sugared doughnuts, or cinnamon spiced scents. I find these transition into the winter and Christmas nicely without being too Christmas themed for the early autumn weather.

2. When you think of fall, what does it remind you of?
In recent years the change in leaves and autumn weather has really reminded me of going to book our wedding. We wen't at the end of November to book our wedding the year before out winter wedding and I remember shuffling my feet through the leaves as we walked through the grounds, and I remember it being the prettiest autumn I have ever experienced. The leaves where bright oranges and yellows and everything seemed so beautiful and breathtaking.

3. What is your all-time favourite fall/Halloween movie?
I don't often gravitate towards scary movies, I like gore themed ones, so think blood, and one good example of that is Sweeney Todd, I am not into ghosts or anything like that, I just don't get into them, but I also do love anything Tim Burton, I think most people do!

4. What Halloween costume do you have in mind?
I have to be honest, I don't do Halloween, I feel like if I did, I kinda wanna go for a Greatest showman give costume, maybe Anne Wheeler style. I'd love to learn more aerial skills, and I definitely think the film has been the theme of my year, so a nod to it would be a nice little sentiment!

5. What is your favourite fall trend?
I always love plaid, checked and tartan prints, I think they are so easy to accessories into an outfit through a scarf, or with a cute shirt if you are stuck for what to wear. I love checked shirts, and I seem to have gathered a few checked scarves over the years, can we mention how much I want a Burberry scarf?

6. When you think of fall, what drink comes to mind?
Can anyone think of fall and autumn and not say Pumpkin spice latte? I mean, even if you don't like it, it is a classic favourite. I have to say this year Costa have done a Bonfire spice range and the latte in that range is lovely, a real smokey spiced caramel flavour is something that is a little different and was really lovely. I don't think this will be to everyone's taste, but I do like it.

7. What is your go-to fall beauty product?
I love to either wear a statement warm red-orange eye with a nude lip, or go for a nude eye with a deep purple lip colour. I think these are two classic fail safe looks and I always lean towards them when I am getting ready this time of year.

8. Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?
Honestly? Neither! I am not into pie as a dessert, so I wouldn't eat either. I think I would gravitate more to Pumpkin though as I prefer the pumpkin spices that are used to contribute to the flavours.

9. Do you have any fall traditions?
I'd say we are in the early stages of establishing some traditions and so they hopefully will be established when we one day have children. These are things like pumpkin picking, conker collecting, and just having fun autumnal walks to enjoy the change in season.

10. The moment of truth, is fall your favourite season?
It never was growing up, it signified going back to school and then end of summer, I hated Halloween and I just didn't like the cold. I do however now love the season and all things autumn!

  1. You can't beat a plaid print at this time of year, they're a sure way of getting me in the autumnal mood!

Hope you're having a great weekend.
