Benefit Air patrol primer

I am an Urban Decay primer potion girl through and through, I have used that for years and know I adore it and it is a staple. I always look round to see what budget alternatives there are, but never think to go for a high end alternative. When I got a sample of the Benefit air patrol BB cream eyelid primer I was excited to see how it worked compared to my beloved primer potion.

The sample is in a foil lined lift up package, I was expecting to only get one or two uses out of this, but I easily was able to do between three and four looks with this and as long as I pressed the packaging back down around the seal to at least cover the product it didn't dry out in the time it took me to use this over those few days. The packaging of the full sized product looks like a twist up pen style which I like the look of, as it looks like it would be easy to use.

The product is a light yellow/brown toned creamy feeling consistency which is easy to apply to the eyelids, and leaves them feeling slightly tacky ready for the eye shadow. This does give a little bit of colour to the eyelid where you have applied product, which can be good if you want to be able to see where you have applied the product, but for me I like them to have no noticeable colour once on the eye. The colour didn't affect the way my eye shadow looked or the finish of the colour which I was grateful of.

The primer was easy to use, and I was able to effortlessly blend shadow colours together on top of it which is great as I want to feel I can create looks effortlessly with any primer I choose. The shadows I used lasted all day, showing very minimal, if any, wear and no creasing or moving on the eyes at all. I was really impressed with the way the products lasted on the eye and the staying power this gave them.

Overall, I do really like the product and think it is one that works really well and will make sure your eye products stay on as intended. I do however feel that at £24 it is definitely one of the more pricier ones on the market and so knowing I can get the beloved Urban Decay that works well for me for £17 and save myself £7, I don't think I will be swapping over. I do think this is fantastic though, so maybe if you have tried the Urban Decay, or other brands and just want to switch it out and see what else there is it is definitely worth picking up. You can find the primer on the Boots website here if you want to check it out and see what they have to say about it you can. I do really like this I just don't feel I can justify switching to an equally comparable, higher priced eye primer! What is your favourite eye primer?
