NYX Butter lipstick Fireball

I remember when NYX first launched in Boots in the UK and it was like a goldmine! Everyone went crazy for it to begin with and I think we have finally got used to the idea that it will be sticking around. I decided I would pick up a few bits and have been back quite a lot since it launched for a browse and to buy more. I decided I wanted to try the butter lipsticks. I decided to go for a more orange toned shade, this one being called fireball,  as I don't have any other orange toned lipsticks and I though this was quite a nice, budget friendly way to delve into oranges for the upcoming summer.

The packaging is a beautiful plastic tube that is the colour of the lipstick to make it so much easier for you to see what the colour of the lipstick is if you have a range of these, rather than them all being in the same generic colours packaging. the little clear window in the centre breaks up the colour and allows you to see the product itself inside so you can see the product itself, however this is almost a perfect match to the plastic packaging so you know what you are getting.

The colour is a beautiful orange that isn't too bright or in your face, and has a slightly red tone to it which makes it more wearable for me as I am still very new to the orange lips and don't quite know how it will work out for me in the long run, as I have mainly been braving this on days at home or very spars trips out as I do feel I am not sure I am too brave!

The product has a sheer style finish, but it still gives a lot of colour pay off leaving your natural lip showing through. I am really pleased with the way this looks, it is sheer in a way that suits the cream, glossier formula of these and their finish. This, although it is a cream finish and usually very forgiving does cling to the dry areas of the lips and make them appear more obvious, while looking perfect on the rest of the lips.

Being a cream formula the colour is more susceptible to wearing quicker with it transferring onto cups and food as you eat decreasing the wear time of the product. I do find that when I am not eating or drinking this wears naturally really well and looks lovely on the lips.

At £5.50 I think these are a great one if you love cream finish lipsticks. I feel like this a beautiful change to the usual matte lip finish I have been reaching for so much and I am really happy that I went for it. You can find these on Boots here, and I know I will be having another look at the stand to see what other colours I like as I know these will be perfect for the look I want to achieve in the summer months!
