Merumaya Melting cleansing balm

I love a good cleanser and getting to try out new ones is something I really enjoy. Taking my make up off is an essential part of my skin care and I always try to remove my make up, even if I end up skipping other steps in a rush. I always like to try new cleansers as, although I am happy with the ones I use there, is always room for new things in my skin care.  When I got a sample of the Merumaya melting cleansing balm I was very intrigued, I usually opt for oil cleanser over cleansing balms so was excited to see how this one compared to my beloved oil cleansers.

The cleansing balm come in a squeeze tube for the full sized packaging, which I like as you can judge how much you are squeezing out without having to dig into a tub to get product out. The sachet felt small, and was less product than I might typically use, but it was the perfect amount and I think I realised I maybe just use a bit too much normally out of habit.

The product has a balmy feel but is more on the cream side than an oily feel like some other balm cleansers I have tried. it warms in the hands nicely and makes a lovely thinner consistency to work into the skin and get make up off. The product worked into my lashes to get my mascara off and was able to work the colour out of my lips that had looked to have left a stain of colour behind.

The balm had a quite obvious scent, which took me back a bit but although it was on the stronger side the scent and product didn't irritate my skin or eyes and felt really nice on the skin. My skin was left feeling soft, smooth and clean. I found this really easy to wash off with warm water and a flannel without it leaving any trace of product on the skin.

At £16.50 for 100ml I think this is a reasonable price and can be found here. I feel there are some cleansers which are equally nice on the high street if this is a little over budget or something you feel you already have in your skin care. One thing that does sway me to this brand is the way it is all focused on evidence and looks at what works and is tested for results, without promising miracles. I really enjoy the cleanser and is one I will remember I like for when I have used up a lot of the ones in ym bathroom as I do have a lot of things to use up at the minute.

  1. I really struggle with skincare packets - I find I need to use a product for a good month or so before I get a good rounded feel for it. Sometimes it takes a couple of uses for my skin to react (positively or negatively) to a product. Glad you were able to get a good feel for the product though and enjoyed using it! xx

    1. I do feel its better to use a product for a while before you really see how you get on, but I think samples are a nice first impression to see if you would want to get it full size to properly test out :) x

    1. I'm the same usually, but thought a sample was a nice way to give initial thoughts as I have tried stuff and known right away I wouldn't like it from the sample xx

  3. I actually got a free bottle of this in a goody bag last year that I absolutely MUST try. I've heard so many good things about it. I think it will be one of the first products in my Shop My Stash post.
