Lee Stafford hair growth shampoo and treatment

I have been growing my hair for a long time now, well, lets just say I have been growing my hair the 7 years my husband and I have been together, and it just never seemed to grow like I hoped. I ignored my hair for most of the years it was growing and got bored of the lack of growth it was showing. I dyed my hair a lot in the time and think that contributed with the damage and breakage leaving it looking like there was less growth and a general lack of progress. In the last half of 2016 I finally gave the Lee Stafford hair growth range a try in hopes to see some progress for my wedding and get my hair to grow that little bit more before the big day.

The packaging is the iconic pink packaging that the main Lee Stafford range comes in, and I do really like the aesthetic of the packaging, it is bright and fun and really pleasing to look at. The shampoo is in a bottle which can squeeze out easily, while the conditioning treatment comes in a pot that makes it easy to scoop the product out to use.

The shampoo is a clear easy to use formula that squeezes out with ease and is easy to work into the hair to create a lather that feels like it works into the hair and really cleans it with easy. I can use this when I have product on my hair, such as hair spray or dry shampoo and it still washes the hair nicely and gets any residue from the hair with minimal effort and leaves it feeling clean.

The conditioning treatment is a thicker consistency and is really easy to scoop out and distribute through the hair. I apply this evenly over the hair and massage my scalp and work the product into the hair to make sure it is well covered. I leave this on for around 10 minutes when I bath as I can lay in the water and know it wont get wet or start washing off as I can move it out of the way. However when I shower I only leave this on for 3-5 minutes as I find I can only keep my hair out the running water for so long. Both instances leave my hair feeling clean and nourished and as though this has worked its magic.

The shampoo and conditioner leave my hair feeling clean and soft, however slightly less nourished than some of my other shampoos and conditioners, but not enough that a bit of hair oil can give it an extra bit of moisture. I also feel this is still nice enough to use consistently without feeling like it dries my hair out too much. I may advise that if you have particularly dry hair to begin with you may find you need to balance this in with a nourishing conditioner just to be sure your hair doesn't get drier than needs be.

I have noticed my hair growing at a really steady but improved rate since using this, it works to strengthen the hair to reduce breakage, promotes growth, and helps to reduce the hair loss. I find my hair definitely has less breakage on the ends of my hair, with it seeming to have less split ends between trims too, as my hair is prone to split ends. It is recommended to use the products for every wash until the hair improves in condition and then use once a week to maintain beautiful hair.

The shampoo retails at £7.49 and can be found on Boots here, while the Conditioner retails at £8.49 and can be found on Boots here. I feel like the main product that gives the results is the hair mask, and I will keep this as a firm staple in my hair care at least once a week to keep my hair in lovely condition and keep it growing like I want it to, The shampoo is lovely but I feel I may switch it for a more nourishing shampoo just to make sure my hair stays well moisturised and hydrated. The products are reasonably priced, but can often be found on either 3 for 2, or 3 for £15 which are really good offers and a great way to pick them up and try some more of the range while it is a little less expensive. I will continue to repurchase the conditioning treatment, I also have the hair growth treatment leave in conditioner, and I hope to try the scalp scrub and serum just to see what the rest of the range is like. I will be sure to update you on the other products when I have tried them out enough to review.

  3. I love this range and used it pretty much exclusively last year to get my hair growing again, I've got so much new growth coming from the root and I can't wait til my hair starts to feel thicker all the way down.
I actually really like the shampoo in general, it leaves my hair really shiny and clean feeling - and the gorgeous smell of course, the added hair growth is just a bonus!

    1. I agree they are so nice as just shampoo and conditioner so in a lot of ways the growth just comes as an added side effect of using it, but I am so glad it works, I wish I had found this years ago when I was in my teens trying to grow out my hair x
