Chino Latino's birthday event

Chino Latino is a restaurant I haven't been to before, but one that I knew sounded amazing, When the email dropped into my inbox to have the opportunity to come along to the birthday party of Chino Latino's last night I knew I couldn't pass up the chance to experience such a beautiful venue. The theme for the evening was Chinese new year, with the dress code for the evening being ravishing reds and bold blacks I was quite excited to get a bit dolled up and have an evening out with some of my favourite blogging girls, all while experiencing what the restaurant was all about and sampling the wonderful food they serve.

On arrival we were greeted with a fire performer, as pictured above. Incredibly talented and making me nervous as she danced with the fire, swept it over her bare skin and then proceeded to eat the flames, I can say it is quite an impressive act. I love fire performers, and while I can barely use a match because the flame still scares me a little too much burning towards me, watching someone else who is confident and knows how to handle the flames safely is always deeply satisfying.

Inside we were treated to a glass of either white wine, red wine or prosecco, I opted for prosecco and it was lovely. A huge table in the centre of the room had been carefully decorated with as much sushi as you could imagine! There were so many varieties, and even for someone who doesn't particularly find sushi a dish I would lean towards I did try some, and it was really nice. I can't tell you what I tried as I have no idea what it was called, but I would definitely try more sushi in the future based on this experience and the way this was made. It was clear the effort and precision that was put into the sushi and it was so lovely to see the way it was put together and executed to make the table look so impressive.

Following the sushi and platters of food being brought round there was a Chinese dragon that was so impressive, and really mesmerising. If you are quick you will catch it on my Instagram stories as I did film it over there, but it was something I have never experienced before and was truly mesmerised by. It was a great show and definitely gave the evening an extra touch of magic.

We were then escorted into the next room in the building which had a beautiful bar area, with an array of cocktails set out onto of the bar, pictured above is the blackberry cocktail I chose, but there were also some orange ones and other choices such as beer. The cocktail was lovely and definitely one I would order again if I can decipher the name of it from the menu as I can't remember what it was called!

The food all looked delicious and everything I tried was really nice and something I would eat again. There were a range of dishes, from a mixed salad with a dressing, to spicy chicken, chicken skewers and corn fritters etc. I don't think I have seen so much amazing looking food in one place for a very long time! As we were drinking cocktails and mingling with the other guests at the event a stilt walker was walking around the venue talking to guests, having photos and adding to the atmosphere that made the evening truly special.

Lets just take a moment to appreciate the desert table can we? I mean, this is where I am going to be because I love food and I love cake, so it makes perfect sense, right? Well, imagine my excitement when I realised the fruit no the table spells out Chino Latino! They had genuinely thought of everything and I knew I had to share a picture of it to show how impressive it was!

The desert table was a true statement, the Chino Latino spelt out, and the tower of profiteroles gave an elegance and sophistication to the table showing the clear branding of the restaurant while being carefully laid out to make the aesthetic of the table look pleasing and engaging. Lets just say, we couldn't wait for the desert buffet to be 'open' and accidentally tucked into them a little to early, but other people had too, so we thought it was only right we sample them too! The back of the table had amazing fondue bowls of chocolate and white chocolate, as well as cones filled with mouse, a huge stack of the most yummy looking profiteroles I have seen, and all the fruit you could imagine. There were also a selection of macarons, brownie, lemon tarts, coffee flavoured mouse like desserts, etc. It was so beautiful, and we were so spoilt for choice I think I tried one of almost everything!

Chino Latino's is located on Maid Marian Way in the Nottingham city centre, it is a multi award winning Pan-Asian restaurant, and I can totally see why. The venue is a stunning place that would make a lovely dining experience. If you are interested in the Nottingham venue you can find the details on the website here, or if you just want to know more about Chino Latino and where they are located you can find more info on their main page here. I had an incredible evening with a perfect balance of food, cocktails and entertainment all while being able to network and meet people in similar roles as bloggers, or in the digital marketing role. I want to say a huge thank you to the lovely staff over at Chino Latino's for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the event, as well as to Cartwright communications who were kind enough to send me an invite and give me the opportunity to come along and experience the wonderful evening. I cannot wait to come back and experience Chino Latino's again in the future with some friends or family and I will definitely be recommending it to people I know, as I recommend it to you reading this. I am so grateful and amazed by the kindness to be offered these opportunities and I am so thankful to everyone who helps to put them together!
