Balance me wonder eye cream

The balance me wonder eye cream was something I got in my advent calendar and it reminded me that I haven't been using an eye cream for a few months since my last one ran out and I forgot to purchase a new one. I have heard a lot of good things about Balance me products and I was really keen to try this out. My under eyes have a lot of darkness from lack of sleep, and while I know this is a product which cannot help me get more sleep, it can help the appearance of the way my under eyes look, so I was excited to see how it could improve the look of my eyes.

The packaging of the product is really nice, although the full size product is in a pump style bottle, the squeeze tube this came in for the sample is really easy to work with and control how much product you squeeze out. I think the pump would work well too as the product is a nice consistency which feels like it would work through a pump well.

The cream is a white, firm but thin textured cream which holds its shape when squeezed out the tube but is light weight and easy to work into the skin. I like the way the cream is easy to work into the skin and takes minimal amounts of effort when rubbing and patting this into the eye area. It sinks in after a few seconds leaving the skin feeling soft and moisturized.

The eye cream claims to lift, brighten and reduce the appearance of fine lines, dark shadows and puffiness around the eye. I do feel the cream makes my under eye area look more plump and full, and over time it helped reduce the look of the dark circles I was experiencing. I definitely noticed a huge improvement using this regularly, and while I don't have any fine lines to compare if they look reduced, the idea that it may be reducing them is a great pointer if I carry on using this for years to come, as we all want to keep fine lines at bay while ever possible.

The cream has a faint lavender smell to it, and is the only aspect I was apprehensive about when I started using this, however because you only use a very small amount, and the fragrance is light it is barely noticeable, and fades away mixed with the scent of any other products you have used or will be using.

At £20 for 15ml it does seem on the higher end spectrum of the face products, but I really like this and I really do think I will repurchase it, the sample has worked really nicely on my eyes and has a lot of product left despite me using it for well over a month, so I know the cost will be justified in how long the eye cream will last. This being said I am always hunting out new products so if you have one you think is comparable or I will love, do let me know!

  1. You had me sold up until the point where you said Lavender, my skin reacts really badly to lavender and takes about a month for it to die down and go back to normal!
I don't mind spending a bit more on an eye cream they last forever (half the time because I forget to use them), and a little always goes a long way!

    1. Oh no! I don't mind so much now I'm at an age where I am starting to see in my skin the importance of looking after it with correct skin care, I would never have spent this much when I was at college haha! x

  2. Eye cream lasts such a long time that I don't mind splashing out - I'm not a big fan of balance me (although I couldn't pinpoint to you as to why!) and highly recommend the kiehls avocado eyecream! Xxx

    1. I agree, although it sounds a lot when you see the price for a small sounding amount, it lasts so long! I will definitely try the Kiehls one, I haven't tried much from Balance me, so I'm not sure how I would find more of the range! x

  3. I almost never use an eye cream which is ridiculous as I am always complaining that I have terrible dark circles and puffiness. I should probably start using one!

    1. I really found this helped a lot, I always think if I try and look after it it may help reduce things like fine lines later down the line! x
