Urban decay event Nottingham

On Saturday when I went to the Nottingham meetup a couple of the other bloggers I met up with told me about an event the Urban decay counter in Debenhams were holding and myself and Ellie decided we would go and find out more. The event wasn't blogger specific but it was still quite and intimate event with not a lot of people which was great as it meant you could talk with the staff easily and everyone got to look at what they wanted.

The event was £10 to get in which was purchased at the Debenhams counter and put onto a gift card which was great as it meant the money was redeemable at the event against a purchase. Upon arrival the the Reveolution de cuba bar where the event was being held we were presented with three fee samples and a free drinks voucher which inevitably meant we got a free cocktail!

The samples we got were a sample of the eye shadow primer potion, A sample of the Naked skin ultra definition powder foundation and a sample of the perversion mascara. This, I feel is a really good sample range, the iconic primer is always great to have and the mascara is a perfect sample i my eyes as I love trying new mascaras and I'm sure this could be one I fall in love with. The naked skin powder comes in three colors which I think is really good, light warm, medium light, and medium dark. I feel that these can be trialed and the colors will be alright for my skin tone at least the lightest one being able to use allover and the other two being worked with when I open them and try them.

Once we were settled and had a drink in hand the event holders went round with the heavy metal glitter liners adding liner in different ways to peoples existing eye looks, which was really interesting to see the ways they were using it to give more ideas and inspiration for trying them out myself. Once we were made over, one of the Urban decay representatives took one of the Revolution de cuba staff members and talked us through the makeover they did on her, this was a really interesting way to see the make up being applied and be talked through the colors and how they were being used.

After the make over, some of the girls attending the event got to have make overs with the eye shadows which was nice, I didn't mind not having one, but if there had of been enough time for all of us to be made over I think I would have liked one. We then got to look and test the products and see which ones we might like to buy, this was really fun getting to test things and see what they look like on the skin. I already knew what I wanted and couldn't wait to stick my hands into the moon dust palette and see what it looked like in person.

There were some beautiful Urban Decay boxes stacked up to one side and I thought they looked so beautiful and kinda just wanted a box that said urban decay, I don't know I just thought it looked so cute and fun! It turned out these were a gift with purchase and that was the boxes that are filled with goodies! I was so excited and I was making the purchase regardless of if there was a gift or not so it was an extra bonus.

The event was so much fun, and so interesting and I was so grateful to have been told about it as I wouldn't have known it was happening if it wasn't for the girls at Saturdays meetup! I cannot wait to review he moon dust palette and show you all the colors and try out the samples I got at the event.

Here is the samples for eye related products I got, there is another primer sample, deluxe eye shadow samples, and and eyeliner as well as a card with two eye shadows and a primer on.

Here are the face products samples I got, a one and done hybrid complexion perfector, another naked skin powder and a card with three blush samples on that I am excited to try!
